Primary Years Programme - Curriculum framework
The Primary Year Programme

It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to CI – PYP. The PYP consists of classes from Nursery to Grade 5 (students age ranging from 2.5 – 11 yrs). In PYP we emphasizie the development of the whole student- physically, emotionally and ethically.

The programme encourages students to be engaged in the process of learning, be curious to know and make meaningful connections in to real life situations. This involves, guest lectures, visits, field trips, experiments and other hands on learning experiences. We focus on giving a conceptual understanding, building and developing the skills of the students through providing a transdesciplinary nature of education.

The class size in the PYP is restricted to 20 students per class, considering and catering to the student’s ability levels and their multiple intelligences.

We in CI - PYP value and cherish parental involvement in all stages of the learning process. As we believe that the relationship between student, parent and teacher is critical in serving the learning needs of our students. The support parent body plays a major role in supporting the faculty and the students in the learning process. We encourage interested parents to volunteer to be a part of the support parent body and be a part of the Primary.
